Hello Class! Kindness week is January 27th through January 31st. Information and the Kindness Challenge Check List was sent home Friday. Please note, Monday, 1/27 at 1:30 is GATE Testing for our class.

1. Read and complete the questions for the 4 Informational Articles. Have a parent discuss each article with you and sign the cover page.

2. Math: Multiplication practice due Friday. (This is our CI Goal, so this week's homework is a great way to practice ONE of the strategies we have learned- examples- standard algorithm, area model, partial product.)
 
3. Vocabulary: Keeping the same list as last week so we can keep practicing. List is attached below as well.
 
Monday- Using 6 of your words, write a connection you have made with it. Have you seen/heard/used this word before? Do you have a story about the meaning? Do you already know a synonym? Etc. 
 
Tuesday- Write each word, then write each word with a NEW suffix (a few words may not have ability to do this with). Example: walked -> walking
 
Wednesday- Make a MATCHING quiz with each word and its definition. Write the answer key on the back side of the page.  
 
4. Charge iPads nightly. **Many students need reminders and support with this task. Build a routine for charging and a morning routine for packing it into backpack. 
 
5. Sign planner after having your math ad vocabulary check. Planner signature means ALL homework was COMPLETED.  
 
***Harvest Carnival is THURSDAY, 10/24. No math/vocabulary is being assigned for Thursday night. However, all homework is due on Friday.

4. CK: Study for the maps and mountains test on Thursday, 9/19. You can use the blank map to locate the major mountain ranges (Rockies, Appalachians, Andes, Alps, Himalayas) and major peaks (Denali, Aconcagua, Blanc, Everest, Kilimanjaro, Fuji), oceans, and continents. Study guides below.
