Welcome! My name is Laura Regan and I am thrilled and honored to be the Principal of Rocklin Academy at Turnstone. I am very excited to be a part of our Rocklin Academy community and I believe in our school and its Core Values. I joined the Rocklin Academy family eight years ago. I can honestly say, our school believes in each and every child and we work diligently as a team to instill a love of learning in all of our students. Collaboratively, our faculty creates innovative, enriching lessons together and truly enjoys working with the students. I believe that all students are uniquely and wonderfully made and it is my job to ensure each student learns in a way that is best for them.

Core Knowledge is rich and meaningful curriculum which builds on previous knowledge. In addition, Common Core standards require a level of depth, rigor, and relevance that our family of schools believes in. Our parent partnership is an invaluable part of the success of our schools. Partnering with parents positively impacts student learning.

I received a Bachelor’s degree in business, concentrating on Human Resource Management. After many years in the business arena, I decided to follow my heart and chose to work with children in education full time. I received my Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and a Masters in Cross Cultural Education. After eight years in the classroom, four years on Leadership and working closely with administration, I accepted a position as Principal at Rocklin Academy Turnstone.

I have been happily married for 24 years and have two wonderful children. Our son just graduated from college over a year ago and is back in the area beginning his career. Our daughter is a dancer and is getting ready to begin her senior year in high school. Our family enjoys spending time together, attending Bayside, relaxing on the beach, playing racquetball, and we thoroughly enjoy the outdoors.

I am enthusiastic about our journey together this school year and look forward to getting to know each family.
