Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! My name is Angie Main, and I am so excited to be teaching my fifth year of 6th grade at Rocklin Academy, Turnstone. I believe in creating a classroom where students are challenged in a safe, supportive, respectful, and positive environment where they can learn and grow, while having fun at the same time!
I received my CA and NV teaching credential from Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, NV. Before landing at Rocklin Academy, my teaching experience was in the Bay Area and Northern Nevada in kindergarten, second, and third grades.
I have lived in Rocklin since 2010 with my son, Seth, who has special needs and just graduated high school. Seth visits school at times with his service dog, Lobo. The kids love when he visits. His visits bring awareness to a different population; and they embrace him and learn the importance of acceptance of all.
This school year I will be teaching alongside my talented 6th grade partner, Mriah Peters. We will be departmentalizing our classes this year. Mrs. Peters will be teaching Language Arts and Science to both classes, while I will be teaching Math and History to both classes.
I feel very fortunate to be a part of Rocklin Academy and am excited to work with all of the fabulous students and parents. We are going to have a wonderful year!
