Hello Rocklin Academy Families! My name is Jenni Pike and I am proud to be a part of the 4th grade team here at Turnstone! I am excited to teach and be a part of such a wonderful learning community! My personal beliefs for achieving high academic success align perfectly with those of Rocklin Academy. When teachers partner with students and their parents, the sky's the limit!
I believe students learn best with a strong community of support, opportunities to be creative, and meaningful content that is brought to life inside the classroom and with hands on experiences. My passion for teaching came at a young age when I would help my younger brothers with their homework. I pursued my dreams at California State University Fullerton, where I graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies in 2006, and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2007. My first experience student teaching in a 3rd grade class solidified that inside a classroom was where my heart would always be! From there, I gained experience, forever-friendships, and great memories as I taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 5th grade for the Fullerton School District. I also taught grades K/1 and 2/3 at a multiage, constructivist charter school called Sycamore Academy of Science and Cultural Arts.
Throughout my 11 years of teaching, I have sought out opportunities to grow as an educator and better serve my students and meet their diverse needs. I am proud of the conferences, committees, cohorts, and teams I have been a part of in these efforts. I will always be a “life-long learner!”
My husband David and I relocated from Southern California and currently live in Lincoln with our three children. Bradley just turned nine, Bentley is six, and Holly is five. They are the greatest blessings, and they bring so much love and humor to our lives! Being a mom has made me a better teacher, and I continue to learn from them daily. We love it up here in Northern California and have been exploring and finding a lot of neat places to play!
This school year is going to be the best one yet! I’m looking forward to seeing your children growing and thriving, exploring and experiencing, and making lasting memories and friendships. I will be here to nurture and challenge them! It’s an honor to be on the 4th grade team!
