Hi, name is Mriah Peters, and I am beyond excited to teach my third year of 6th Grade at Rocklin Academy, Turnstone. Sixth grade is such a crucial year of taking on leadership, responsibility of one's learning, and most importantly, building character. Sixth grade is departmentalized with Language Arts and Mathematics to better prepare your child for middle school.
I received my teaching credential at William Jessup University in 2013. After college, I began teaching at a small charter school in Colfax. In that year alone, I taught 1st and 2nd grade, 7th and 8th grade Language Arts, and High School Leadership. Since then, I have taught 4th and 6th grade. Now in my fifth year of teaching, I am proud to call Rocklin Academy my home.
I grew up living from Lake Tahoe to Roseville. Growing up in a family of six kids, I spent my childhood days camping, hiking, snow and water skiing, and snowboarding. I also have a passion for art and traveling. After studying Art History in college, I proceeded to visit all the major museums in Europe.
I am thrilled to spend another year working along the side with Rocklin Academy staff and parents to create the best education for our students!
